Thermoplastic powder coatings
Thermoplastic powders show excellent chemical resistance and flexibility. As the powder is applied to the hot surface it will melt and "fusion bond" to the surface and then "flow out" into a strong, continuous film.
Thermosetting powder coatings are based on lower molecular weight solid resins. Unlike the thermoplastic products, after curing, they will not soften back to the liquid phase when heated.
